Printmaking wasn’t my media until 2007 when I enrolled in my very first etching class in K-State. I was later introduced to Mezzotint by Professor King at K-State at the time. I immediately fell in love with this media, and I also found the process of each method of printmaking so fascinating and appealing. I started feeling comfortable and confident working on 2D art—it was/ is very “physical and dimensional” for me just like Ceramics and Sculpture, yet, the final work of printmaking is presented on paper. I have discovered my own two-dimensional language through it.
